From February 1996 he is employed at FERAGUA (Andalusian Association of Irrigation Communities) as General Secretary. FERAGUA bring together 300.000 hectares of irrigation in Andalusian, advising to the associated entities and representing the Association in forums and seminars concerning the management of the water of irrigation.
He is a member of the Government, Management and Planification Board of the Guadalquivir Basin Authority and also of the Technical Commission of the Negratín-Almanzora Transfer. He also participates in the Information Committee and Follow-up of the Hydrological Plan of the Guadalquivir River representing the irrigation. Likewise, he belongs to the Andalusian Council of Water, the Atlantic Basin Commission of Water, and the Barbate, Axarquía and Sierra Nevada Committees of Management in the coastal Andalusia basins.
