Adriano Battilani, Senior Researcher. Battilani carries out research on irrigation, fertigation and the development/validation of DSS and models. He has also studies subjects concerning crop water requirements and the interaction between irrigation and products quality. He was in charge of pre-normative studies for what concerns the reuse of treated wastewater in agriculture and landscape (Regional Government Water Conservation Plan, DL 152/99, 2000/60 EU) He was in charge of the “irrigation” and “water stress indicators” sub-projects during the EU "QUALITOM- CT96-1507" project. He was WP leader in the EU Fertorganic project (QLK5-CT2002-01799).He was in charge of the work package “Treatment and Irrigation Technology” of the EU project SAFIR (CT023168Food) aimed to implement efficient treatment technologies for water reuse in irrigation. He was the charged to develop irrigation benchmarking criteria and tools in the FP7 “Sirrimed” EU project.
He is scientific manager of the EU FP7 project “Figaro”, and is managing the European mirror case in the EU FP7 project “W4Cs”. From 2003 to 2010 he was chairing the Working Group Water Supply of the International Society of Horticultural Science He is the scientist responsible of projects financed by the Emilia Romagna Region (L28/98). He is author of 213 publications presented at national and international conventions and published in the major magazines of agricultural interest. He is appointed as EIP water Task Force member as representative of Copa-Cogeca and ANBI.
